In 2015 Onside was engaged to manage the PR and Media Relations for the Men’s Senior team in their 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup campaign, played in Australia and New Zealand.

Emirates Cricket’s online presence was identified as the main focus for the PR campaign where Twitter and Facebook were highlighted as the best communication tools.

Through Onside’s management and overseeing of these social media accounts, while strictly adhering to ICC regulations, Emirates Cricket’s Twitter followers grew, organically, from zero to 25,000, while Facebook followers grew from zero to 2,500 before the first ball had been bowled at the CWC.

Following the systems and programs implemented at the start of Onside’s engagement, Emirates Cricket’s follower base continues to grow with post 2016 summer followers exceeding 40,000 (Twitter) and 5,000 (Facebook).
